Birthday made for twins....

It was Ashley and Jordan's 9th birthday this last weekend.
We usually let them choose to have
a party (which they have never chosen) or take
one friend to dinner and do something fun. They always choose
this. First, when they got home from school on
Friday, I had their room decorated.

Ashley chose her one friend to bring. We opened gifts
first. She was very excited about her
new CD player and CD's.

Next we had to show her the cake. I made a tie-dyed peace
cake for her. "Peace" is the big thing right
now, for her...so she loved the cake.

Then we went out to dinner. She chose Carinos. NO....any
of you that know me....I did not convince her...she
chose it herself. That's my girl. :)

Next we were suppose to head over to Wahooz fun center, but
when we got there, it was PACKED. I mean, they
had a whole school there. The lines
were at least an hour. So I convinced them that we
would have to come back another time.
So they decided they wanted to go home, blast music,
and put on make-up and do their hair.
They had a blast...

Next was Jordan, which we did on Saturday. He decided he
just wanted some friends over to play football. "Mom,
I don't want a party or presents.....I just want to
play football with my friends." What a great kid. So
we invited his close friends, which all LOVE football as
much as he does. Two hours later, they didn't want to
stop playing. They had a blast playing, flag football.

Look at this fun group of football players. All good boys....

They were so hot, they decided to jump in the pool for a while.

Have I told you how much fun they had...

When I asked Jordan how he wanted me to decorate his cake, he told
me he didn't want one decorated. He wanted a cheesecake.
Well, knowing he was having a party, I decided
I better at least have some cupcakes for everyone.

Sunday, we had dinner with the family over at grandma
and grandpa's house. That's where Jordan got his cheesecake...

Grandma always has something fun for the kids. This
time they made pizza's with her.

She got them nice water bottles, that I am too cheap
to buy....but leave it to grandma, to get them
the water bottles they "totally want."

Our twins had a great 9th birthday weekend. Can't believe
they are getting so big. We love them so much.

Labor Day weekend.....

Since we had not been camping all summer, we thought we
would go over Labor Day weekend. Our kids have been
begging us to go, so we thought we better go
while the weather is still nice, and we have a few days. We
headed up to Cascade with a reservation to a campsite, that
we had never heard of.....now we know why.....it was horrible.
One campsite after another, no trees, only grass. We
decided to drive around and look for a better place (even though we already
paid....non-refundable) Well, it was SO worth it. We found this
great campsite just towards Tamarack. We loved
it . It wasn't too busy and it was right
next to the lake. No neighbors, and lots of trees. GREAT!

We hiked around and first thing found this great swing with two
handles, hanging off this tree that looks
like it's falling down. We knew we had to come back
to this the next day, in our swimsuits.

Taking a break on our hike.

One of my kids' favorite things to do is explore the woods
around our campsite......especially in the dark
with flashlights.

Our friends, the Bartletts, ended up coming up. They had
their own place to stay, but hung out with
us a lot of the time. We loved that, especially
since they have kids about the same age of our kids.
Smores.......always fun.

Me and my hubby. Promise he is happy, he just
doesn't always look like it. :)

The hammock is always a favorite. Our kids couldn't
get enough of it. This was Cody's first time in it.

I loved this. It looked like a sea monster coming out of the
water.

Some friends let us borrow their canoe. Our kids loved
swimming out to it....and getting rides.

Our daughter was a little unsure of the swing. Look at
that face. LOL

Isn't that swing so cool? Look how you can climb up and
swing down....if you wanted. Our kids spent
hours at this swing. A couple of
the kids got blisters that popped open, from swinging so much.

We have not been camping very much, since Cody was born, so he
doesn't really remember going, so he was
so happy going this weekend. If you ask him what his favorite part
about camping, he would tell you, "going to bed". LOL He
loved sleeping next to me in the pop-up trailer.
Love that kid!

Happy kids. That's all we could ask for......

And school begins......

Cody had his first day of pre-school today. He was
so excited to go. He loved the
bag his teacher made for each of them
with their names on it. He was thrilled
he got blue....his favorite color.

See how excited he is! :)
(Don't mind the water on his shirt)

Ashley and Jordan wanted a picture with him
on his first day of school.

Walking down the sidewalk like
his brother and sister do.

These are a couple of his friends that go to
pre-school with him. He was
very happy to have some familiar faces.

I just had to post a picture of my cute twins.
They had picture day, on Tuesday.....I thought
they looked pretty cute.
