Proud mom and dad.....

So this is Jordan's first year of football.....and the kid
LOVES it. He really loves that two of
his good friends
are on the team with him.

This is him trying to look tough.....but
for any of you that know him, knows this
is funny.

He does great on defense. They only do flag football at
this age, and he is really good at getting
others flags.

In this picture he snagged another flag before the kid
could get past him.

A couple of games ago, he played quarterback most of the game. We
loved watching him throw. He's got quite the arm.

This was the game he played quarterback, and we were the home
team. This was the score at half-time.......nuff said! :)

Obviously we are very proud of our little football player.

Camping for a night....

With the kids having such a short summer break, and
us being so busy, we were unable to go
camping this summer. We had promised the kids
we would take them. So being September, we figured we
better go. So we took them last weekend, and had a blast.
First thing they wanted to do is get in the water, since it was still nice and warm
outside.

They loved moving rocks around.

I swear one of Ashley's favorite things to do is play in the tent. I think
she likes to pretend it's her house, and boss everyone around. Just a
guess.......don't know where she would get that from. ;)

Gotta love smores.

We happened to be at a campsite where there was a loop
for them to run around. They loved running around in the
dark with their flashlights.

Cody was very happy in the morning, and loved seeing his brother
and sister.

In the morning we went for a hike. It was pretty steep, Nathan
had to carry Cody part of the way. The kids loved it.

Not even ten minutes in the car and they all look like this.......

I think they had fun.......

Twins birthday.....

So it was Ashley and Jordan's birthday this last week, and
they were so excited for it. The big "8", and now they
are anxious to be baptized.

Ashley is still very in to Barbie's. So we got her
the singing High school Musical ones.....she loved them.

Jordan is very in to Bakugan. I know, those of you without little boys
probably have no idea what I am talking about. It's OK, I had
to learn also. It's a cartoon, and cool figurines that transform. Don't ask me????

Grandma Petersen made them new blankets, which they always love.
Cody had to go and get his new one, and pose with them.

Then the cakes. As requested, I made a football cake and a purse cake.
They loved them. They were challenging to make, but I had
fun doing it.

We sure love our twins.........
Happy Birthday Ashley and Jordan!!!!

Mom and Dad.......

This last week, my kids were putting their laundry away, and
next thing I know, Cody comes running
out to me, with a bloody face, and covering his
eye, screaming. Freaked me out. He had bonked his head on
the dresser drawer and split his head open.
I had Nathan take him to the Dr. (I didn't want to hold him down
while they put in stitches) They actually ended up glueing it closed.

Nathan said he did really well at the Dr., so they gave him some stickers,
which he loved.

So really this post is not about Cody. I am posting to say how much I love
my in-laws. Feels funny calling them in-laws, because to me
they are mom and dad. They found out what happened to my
baby........I mean, Cody, and what do they do? They show up
at our doorstep the next night with a blanket that my
mother in law made for Cody. He loves baseball, so she
knew exactly what to make him. He LOVES it!

They are great parents and awesome grandparents to our kids. They
are so loving to our kids. The really are the best!

My father in law.....dad. ( I love this man)

My mother in law.......mom. I hope to be half the woman
she is, someday. Don't know what I would
do without them.

The fair....

We went to the fair this summer. We haven't been in a few years....in fact,
Cody has never been. They had a great time.

You can't see it very well, but Ashley and Jordan are riding
this little roller coaster. They are in the very back seat......Ashley
with her arms up.

Striking a pose for me. Cody was putting bunny ears on himself, they
thought it was funny, and did it to themselves.

We went to a gator show (which Nathan loved), and
afterwards the kids got to hold the gator. Cody was
not too sure of it.

We let them ride on a couple of rides, and of course, Cody
picked the motorcycle ride. (he is obsessed with them) He
had the biggest smile on his face the whole time.

Of course you cannot go to the fair without getting cotton candy. They loved it!
