Cody's big #4...

Yesterday was Cody's 4th Birthday. He was SO excited to be turning 4. The
day before, I made and decorated his cake. My kids love
that I let them choose what kind of cake they want, and I will decorate it
for them. This year, Cody could not decide what he wanted. He
kept changing his mind....driving me crazy. So I
asked him if he wanted me to surprise him with one. He loved
that idea.

So this is Cody and Jordan eating some of the cake scraps that
I didn't use. They always love that part.

The morning of his birthday, we got some donuts, which he loves. Then
we showed him his cake.....a motorcycle. You have to
understand how much he loves motorcycles. He has been
obsessed with them since he was a baby. Don't know what
it is, but he loves them. So when he saw this cake, he
loved it. It was so fun.

The cake really did turn out cute.

This is one of his many motorcycles.

He got lots of fun things. He is so easy to please, it makes
it fun to give him things. For instance.... I told him
that we didn't get him any presents, he then
replied, "yah, but I got cool plates to eat on." He is
one funny kid.

We also learned that all of us (except dad) can touch our noses
with our tongues.......I know....talented huh?

He loved his birthday, but was pooped by the end of the day.

We sure love our Cody!

Dentist.....here we come.....

So today, we had a dentist appointment for all three
of our kids. Ashley and Jordan do just
fine, but Cody........this will be the
third try. The first two times, he has
FREAKED OUT and I have had to
hold him on my lap, and pin his arms down, while
the Dr. "glances" in his mouth. It was
horrible......screaming his head off. So this
time, I prepared him the whole week. I
showed him pictures of a friend at the dentist, and
I have talked and prepped him ALL week, hoping
he would be ready, knowing what's coming. Well.........

He did it!!!! He happily jumped up on the seat.

Put on the "stylin" glasses to watch a movie.

Didn't freak out at all. It was SO nice.
I realize I have to "prep" him for things. He
is not one I can just spring things on.....or he freaks out.

Ashley with a big smile even. They said
her teeth look great!

Jordan did great. Afterwards he said he didn't like
the flavor of toothpaste she used. I asked what it was
and he told me "cookie dough". UGH! Gross......

They love all the games the Dr. has for them to play while
waiting.

Ssince they did so well, that we took them to lunch to
play. They were happy kids......
