My baby is 3 !!!!

Cody's birthday was yesterday, and he was so excited.
Of course I had to make his cake,
and he requested a baseball cake with a bat and mit.
He had fun eating the scraps of cake that I used
to cut out my baseball shapes with.

This is how it turned out. He loved it.

He really was excited about his presents....you just
can't tell in this picture. He was thirsty.

This was the first time he saw his cake, and it
was right after his nap.

He got a new Lightning Mcqueen puzzle. He loves
doing puzzles with grandpa.

Can't go wrong with Lightning Mcqueen. He also go a new baseball
bat, ball and mit. He was a happy boy.

What we have been up to......

My kids have been on track break for the last
two weeks, so we have been doing lots
of different things. One day,
I found Ashley and Jordan on the couch
reading to each other and laughing....it was so cute.

Since the weather has been nice, we have tried to go
outside as much as we can to enjoy the sun.
This was the first time Cody has
rode on a bike. He loved it, and had a big
grin on his face the whole time.

Ashley and Jordan love riding their bikes, and have
gotten pretty good at it.

When Cody was done riding bikes, he wanted to sit
in the car with my sunglasses on (upside-down).

We have also been doing chores, and my kids have
been very helpful. It was Jordan's
turn to empty the dishwasher
and Cody wanted to help him. Aren't they cute?

What??? It was almost 70 degrees out. Isn't that
warm enough for ice cream bars? :)

Eating green pancakes with green milk, for
St. Patrick's day. We had fun.

So we now have one week of Spring break.....that will
make three weeks off for us. My kids are getting
anxious to go back to school, and I
am getting anxious too. :)

Sad times..... and fun times......

This last week, Nathan's grandmother passed away. She was getting older and fragile
and it was her time to go. So they had her funeral this
last Saturday, and all five of Nathan's
brothers and families were able to make it. (except Jenny :( )
Sad occasion, but fun to spend time with his family. We have a lot of fun with them.

The YMCA.....hey...

So we took the kids to the YMCA, to swim last night. I have a membership there and recently got a family pass, so we decided to go swimming. Our kids absolutely LOVE the water
so we had a lot of fun.

Ashley wasn't too sure of the slide, but Nathan convinced her, and she
didn't get off the thing all night. I think Ashley
and Jordan went at least 20 times. We were there for almost
three hours......

Cody walked around the whole time doing his "rock" hands. Usually it's his
Spiderman hands to shoot webs, but last
night it was his rock hands. Funny kid.

Nathan explaining how to do the swim test, so they could go down
the water slide. They don't let you go down with anyone,
so they had to be able to swim by themselves.
They passed the test, and loved going down the slide.

Cody loved the kiddie pool, and would only go down the slide
if Ashley was there to catch him. He loves her....

Cody decided he wanted to go down the BIG water slide that Ashley and Jordan
were going down, so I took him up (not able to go down with him)
and sent him down on his bum. Nathan
waited at the bottom to catch him, and he came down head
first, backwards (if you can picture that). Poor kid. he was freaked out but
didn't start crying until Nathan caught him. This was him right after.... :(

We sure love our kids......

Ashley's last game of hoops....

Ashley's last basketball game was Saturday. She was pretty bummed, because she has loved playing. She has done a great job, and we have loved watching her play.

Here is a picture of her cheering squad. Grandma and grandpa Petersen, Nathan's brother, Donny, and his wife, Katelyn, and Nathan and Jordan. (If you can't tell which is mine, he's the cute one in the white hat) :) Everyone at the game thought he and his brother were twins.

She brought the ball down a lot. This is her making a pass, which she doesn't do a lot. She likes to head straight for the basket and shoot herself. I just don't know where she gets it.

We went to Primos Pizza for her party. She gets embarrassed to go up in front of everyone, so this is her making her goofy, embarrassed face.

She loved her award.....and the pizza. We loved watching her play. She is already asking when next season starts....
