Dancin the night away.....literally.....

So Nathan and I were invited to a "couples" Halloween party last weekend. Most people who think of us would think since I am more outgoing, and talk more I would be the one who goes all out to dress up. They would be gravely mistaken. Nathan is WAY more confident than I am when it comes to that. People who think he is shy, are very mistaken. Yes, he can be quiet, but shy........NO! He decided he wanted to go as Nacho Libre's brother, Taco Libre. It was pretty funny to see him all dressed up in tights. Everyone at the party was very surprised also. Not many people get to see this side of him. He was acting crazy all night and groovin on the dance floor. It was a lot of fun. Me on the other hand, went just as a western girl. Hey that's good for me. It's been about 9 years since I have dressed up.

"TACO LIBRE"

Sorry so blurry.

This was I think most of the girls at the party. People did really well going all out to dress up. We had a lot of fun.

The girls were having so much fun in fact, at about 11pm, about five of us took our husbands home, came back to Andrea's house and danced until one in the morning. We felt like teenagers again.......until the next morning when we were all so tired, and some of us sore. Dang, I am getting old.

The guys also did a good job at dressing up. It was fun to see so many personality's that night. Man, people sure can be different outside of church. :)

We had lots of fun. Maybe next year I will get a little more daring with my costume. I don't even want to know what Nathan will do next year. :)

Pumpkin carving.....

I don't know why, but my pictures keep posting backwards.
Anyway, we got together with our friends, the Young's, again, but this time to carve our pumpkins that we got from the pumpkin patch. We had a lot of fun with them.

We thought they turned out pretty cute.

At first Cody wanted nothing to do with the yucky stuff inside, but then he saw Ashley and Jordan do it, so he wanted to try. It was funny to watch his face.

My kids loved drawing the face on the pumpkin with a marker, then letting us carve it. Maybe next year we will trust them with knives...????
I had more pictures, but they all turned out so blurry, I didn't post them. So, sorry for lack of.

Pumpkin patch.....

So we went to the pumpkin patch on Friday night, with our friend's, the Young's. We had a lot of fun.
Ashley, our little mom, felt like she needed to carry Addison around everywhere, and Addison was good about letting her do it.

They loved the hay ride out to the pumpkins. Well, Ashley and Jordan loved it, Cody, as soon as it started moving, he yelled, "time to get off". He was fine as long as one of us was holding him.

This year, they had a little petting farm area. My kids were so excited. They had horses, and a camel, even a zebra.

Cody was so funny with the animals. He was fearless. It was fun to watch him just walk up to all of them, and let them lick him.

This was pretty funny. If you look at Cody, the horse just bumped up against him and he started laughing. It was funny.

Ashley found her pumpkin right away......she is not too picky.

Cody, on the other hand, found lots that he wanted, and he stayed and guarded them.

Cody's new best friend.....

So I have been feeling really guilty lately. I realize that I cannot play with Cody all morning, that he needs to learn to play by himself. So I send him outside, and this is how I find him almost everyday. He loves playing with Shilo and having conversations with him.

Cody also loves the sandbox. It just makes me feel so bad, seeing him out there all by himself.

Ok- so is this normal, or should I be feeling guilty for my lonely boy?
