Merry Christmas.....

We had so much fun this year for Christmas. Our kids are at such fun ages,
it was great watching them this year.

Christmas eve started out with yummy food, then a letter to my kids
from Santa. Ok, really, my kids sent a letter to Santa
about a week ago, from our house, and the mail man took it, and in
Jordan's letter, he told Santa he will be at his grandma and grandpa's
house and gave their address. Christmas eve a letter
came to Jordan from Santa at the North Pole, and it came to their house. I thought maybe
grandma and grandpa did it, but it came through the postage
and was sent from Salt Lake. I don't know how this happened, but it was SO cool.
So this is our kids reading their letter from Santa.

Christmas eve jammies! This was the first time I got Jordan and Cody
matching pj's, and Cody loved it. He kept saying
he was a rock star. As you can see, he is strumming his guitar. Think
I am going to do matching more often.....so cute!

Christmas morning, we all have to line up, youngest to oldest. This is
one time Ashley hates being the oldest..... :)

We gave in and gave the kids DS's. Every time you asked them what they
wanted for Christmas, it was the first thing they asked for.
I got them on Black Friday, so I got a good deal. They were
SO excited.

Gotta have a pink one...right?

Cody was happy with anything Lightning Mcqueen. He was hilarious this year.
So grateful for everything. In his own words, "NICE.....socks!!" He
loved all his gifts. Such a fun kid!

They all received cute clothes too.

Loved this one....

Cody couldn't wait to wear this one, and ended up wearing
it all day Christmas.

This was Ashley and Jordan all Christmas day. They loved all their gifts.

This was the one thing Cody kept asking for. A Lightning Mcqueen race
track. He was so excited and loved playing with it.

We all had a great Christmas. Thanks to everyone who made
it special for us and especially our kids.

Lights on the house....

This was the first year that Cody was big enough to go on the roof
to help with Christmas lights. He loved it, but didn't
stay up there too long.......he is only three.....

Ashley and Jordan of course loved it.....look at those smiles.
Our house is beginning to look
a lot like Christmas!!! :)

Halloween.....

I find it funny that Ashley has no desire to be something cute or
pretty for Halloween. Last year she was the wicked witch
from Wizard of Oz. This year a scary vampire. Love it!

Of course when you are obsessed with football, what else would
you be?

Jordan was a vampire a couple of years ago, and Cody saw the picture and
wanted to be just like his brother. He loved that we sprayed his
hair black. He wouldn't let me paint his
face though. He looked pretty cute.

This was the first night we dressed up. It was for the ward Chili feed
and trunk-or-treat.

This was Halloween night before trick-or-treating.

Our last stop is always grandma and grandpa Petersen's house. We
have to drive their since it's about 20 minutes away. This
year, this is how they answered the door. Cody
is not in the picture because he
was so freaked out. It was hilarious!

We had a great Halloween......but I am glad it is over!
Bring on Thanksgiving........

Carving pumpkins.....

We got our pumpkins last Monday and have been waiting
all week to carve them. Finally last night, we did....and
had lots of fun doing it. We had our friends, the Young's
over to carve with us.....we love hanging out with them.

I swear my kids favorite part is taking out the guts.....just
look at them...

They all turned out really cute. Nathan did pretty
much all the work......I did most of the talking..... :)

Jordan's is the big one on the right, with the mustache. I thought
that was pretty funny.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Finding the right one.....

We went to the pumpkin patch on Monday for Family Home Evening,
and the kids had a blast.
Here they are on the hay ride out to the pumpkins.

Cody wanted every pumpkin in sight....and wanted to carry
them also.

Ashley was easy to please. Any pumpkin I liked...she liked.

Jordan on the other hand, took forever to pick out his.
He always wants a big, perfect one. He is funny.

They also had animals. They liked the camal and there was
a baby goat walking around that was just too cute.

Trying to get a nice pic with my hubby. He kept looking
at me instead of the camera.

Next we get to carve all our pumpkins...... Can't wait!

Baptism day.....

This last Saturday, Ashley and Jordan were baptized. We were so
happy for them....and as you can see, they
were happy too. We got Jordan a new suit and their grandma
Petersen made Ashley her dress. She loved it.

They were so excited to be baptized.....they couldn't stop smiling.

So the white clothes that Jordan is wearing, is the same clothes
Nathan wore when he got baptized. His mom made
them for him. So of course, Grandma had to
make some for Ashley too. I think they turned out
pretty cute.

They opened their new scriptures Sunday morning.
(Don't mind Ashley's hair.....we braided so it would be wavy for church)

We had a great day with family and friends.

Ashley's ear piercing

So Nathan and I decided a long time ago, we would wait until
Ashley turned 8 before she could get her
ears pierced. We thought it was fair, now that she
is old enough to be responsible for her decisions.......we let
her decide if that was something she wanted to do. Of course
it was!! She was SO excited.

There was only one person working, so they had to do one
ear at a time. She was very brave......this is her
getting her second ear pierced. You can already see
the first one.

When she was done, you could tell she was hurting. I looked at
her and said, "it's OK if you cry", and then came some
tears.

She was fine by the time we got to the car. She
had to call and tell her dad.

So this is Jordan's first year of football.....and the kid
LOVES it. He really loves that two of
his good friends
are on the team with him.

This is him trying to look tough.....but
for any of you that know him, knows this
is funny.

He does great on defense. They only do flag football at
this age, and he is really good at getting
others flags.

In this picture he snagged another flag before the kid
could get past him.

A couple of games ago, he played quarterback most of the game. We
loved watching him throw. He's got quite the arm.

This was the game he played quarterback, and we were the home
team. This was the score at half-time.......nuff said! :)

Obviously we are very proud of our little football player.

Camping for a night....

With the kids having such a short summer break, and
us being so busy, we were unable to go
camping this summer. We had promised the kids
we would take them. So being September, we figured we
better go. So we took them last weekend, and had a blast.
First thing they wanted to do is get in the water, since it was still nice and warm
outside.

They loved moving rocks around.

I swear one of Ashley's favorite things to do is play in the tent. I think
she likes to pretend it's her house, and boss everyone around. Just a
guess.......don't know where she would get that from. ;)

Gotta love smores.

We happened to be at a campsite where there was a loop
for them to run around. They loved running around in the
dark with their flashlights.

Cody was very happy in the morning, and loved seeing his brother
and sister.

In the morning we went for a hike. It was pretty steep, Nathan
had to carry Cody part of the way. The kids loved it.

Not even ten minutes in the car and they all look like this.......

I think they had fun.......
